How can you get support over remote desktop?

Spinworks has an in-house solution for Quick Assistance over remote desktop.

If you don't have a support contract and only require a one-off assistance session you can download a Windows x64 only client here: https://office.spinworks.gr/s/zoo6pn6qg8eZgwT . It is crucial not to rename this file, as it parses the server address from its filename.

If you have a support contract, the software "Spinworks Support" should already be installed, if it's not installed download it from here. Ask for the download password in your ticket.

Pick the one that suits your system:
- spinworks-support.apk for Android 6 or newer
- spinworks-support.msi for Windows 7 or newer (x86_64 only)
- spinworks-support-arm64.dmg for Apple Silicon Macs
- spinworks-support-x64.dmg for Intel Macs
- spinworkssupport-aarch64.flatpak for Linux on Arm (e.g. Raspberry Pi 4/5)
- spinworkssupport-x86_64.flatpak for Linux

The linux clients require Flatpak, which comes pre-installed in some Linux distros (e.g. Fedora, Mint). If you don't have it, get it here. Then open the terminal in your Downloads directory and run `flatpak --user install spinworkssupport-x86_64.flatpak` or `flatpak --user install spinworkssupport-aarch64.flatpak` depending on your system.

If your system is not compatible with any of the above you can use Anydesk.

Then add a new message to your ticket with your Device ID. Our support agent will connect ASAP and you'll need to accept his connection. If you want the session to happen asynchronously (with you not present), please include the one-time password in the same message as the Device ID, leave your device on and make sure automatic sleep is disabled in your power settings.
